HENNESSY

A household name growing up, Hennessy Cognac was moving in a new direction to attract a new younger, creative and culturally curious audience. Riding the crest of vinyl wave, and in partnership with creative agency This Greedy Pig (Hen’s Teeth) we delivered the Hennessy Sound Lounge. Hosted by DJ Sally Foran, it was a beautifully intimate experiential on Fade Street that immersed invited guests in a listening party of the vinyl choices of some of Ireland’s most loved characters and collectors including BP Fallon, Vivienne Dick and David Kitt.

Over the years some of the world’s biggest hip-hop artists have namechecked Hennessy in their lyrics, from Tupac and Biggie to Drake and Kendrick Lamar. Pinning its colours firmly to the Hip Hop mast in Ireland,  Hennessy developed the Midnight Circus Stage at Body&Soul featuring breakthrough Irish and some top international hip hop talent. The line-up was curated by DJ and producer Mathman and included Manchester hip-hop songstress IAMDDB, BBC Sound 2019 winner Octavian; multi-award winning South London female rapper Miss Banks and leading figures in the new wave of Irish hip-hop MangoXMathman.
