Celebrating the legacy of Richard Hennessy, from Cork to Cognac

Hennessy presents the Limited Edition Founder’s Edition Bottle created with pride by Irish Artists Maser and Conor Harrington.

Hennessy has selected Irish artists Maser and Conor Harrington to create the historic Founder’s Edition bottle, celebrating 300 years since the birth of its Irish founder, Richard Hennessy. The striking design of this new Hennessy Very Special (VS) Founder’s Edition embodies the enduring influence of the Corkonian who emigrated to Cognac and created the globally iconic Hennessy brand. It is the perfect blend of then and now.

Irish artists Maser and Conor Harrington travelled to Cognac, learning of its grape to glass process and meeting those who passionately craft Hennessy VS using the exact recipe that was created almost three centuries ago. Both artists’ work resonates perfectly with the Hennessy VS brand character: vibrant, artistic and street!

To celebrate this historic moment, Hennessy hosted a party right here in Dublin’s Round Room at the Mansion House on the 22nd of October, to toast the occasion and honour Irish art, music, culture, and the rich Irish legacy that Hennessy holds close to its heart. The event was hosted by DJ and presenter, Tara Kumar who interviewed Conor Harrington and Maser, exploring their creative process and the magnitude of this pivotal point in the Hennessy Ireland story. Guests enjoyed expertly crafted Hennessy cocktails paired with gourmet food while Ireland’s top DJs provided the tunes to exciting experiential and immersive offerings.
